Depression and moving mountains

Dear Friend,
Many times I believe I have beaten depression and then it comes back and hurts me even more. Old memories of being verbally abused still plays the same tape over and over again. "You will never amount to anything" and things like "You are a nuisance" or "Why can't you stick to anything" likes to take residence in my mind when life begins to become too hard or scary. I deem it my fault. But how do I recover such painful words? How do I overcome the reality of feeling like a loser, a failure or just a nobody?
I can't.
That may surprise you to hear that. But it is true. I cannot do it myself. Only faith in something can. Faith can move mountains, faith can make things happen that you could never dream. Have faith in all that you can be, achieve, and become! Do not let those dreamkillers EVER beat you down. Maybe your mom was right...they might just be jealous. So friend, hold your head high, believe in a Higher Power (I believe in Jesus Christ) and take that energy and shake it up. Take your faith and shake it awake. Take your mind and concentrate on the good you know you can do! Then run with it and never look back.
Friend, time has a way of being a great ally or a horrible foe. When time is a great ally it is used and vitalized by work, patience, effort and persistence; however, dear friend, when time is your enemy it takes years to go around the same mountain. Why do that? Just say to that mountain you will move. In time, it will!
